The Sun in Clun is good but will probably need booking.

Bear in mind my significant other might well be there, but she'd be happy to kick back and read the paper for a while.

Ok if we're still all on for this .

As well as Ben my chum Steve Ashworth will bob up from hereford in his 4x4 . Steve is helping with the A2C event so I'll be looking at the site with both heads on .

My thoughts on a plan are

tour the site in 4x4s
work out which bits we want to use
find some spaces for camping/ cps etc

hopefully photoshoot us in Partisan / Russian gear bring what you got .

If you have some modern stuff that we could also photoshoot , DPM , Flectarn / US/ Russian that would be really helpfull to kill 2 birds with one stone , but may have ot skip this with regards to time .

Pub lunch

Home !

Guys. Hopefully it'll be alright, but have you seen the weather forecast for the weekend?

Heavy snow showers forecaste from Friday onwards, especially Sunday.

This might give us some good shots for the partisans, however Clun/Ceri is VERY remote and that part of the world tends to get heavier snow. I'll be in the area from Friday so I'll let you all know what it's looking like.

Having said that, if we do all get there and we fancy some food at one of the local pubs I can highly recommend The Sun at Clun ( http://www.thesunatclun.co.uk ) , but it's worth booking a table. Shall I?

Yes, I was wondering about the forecast! If the roads are clear then it would make some superb Ostfront photos (even if not relevant to a May game!).

Lunch booking sounds a good idea (also an incentive not to dilly-dally to much  )

Where exactly are we meeting and at what time?

Meet in clun,in the carpark by the bridge . The place is tiny so you won't get lost. Be there from 10 onwards , but before 10.30 .

Need "partisan" cloths (more the merrier) and weapons

Also if you have any modern kit you could walt it in that would be good to.

I'll try to sort out some maps , and have just driven to fecking Cheshire and back for the keys

 don't you have a postal service up there?

I'll bring modern Brit kit (I can't fit in James Marpat), brown greatcoat, some sacking for bootage, scarves. What about German kit (patrolling in distance, partisans awaiting in ambush... )

OK with directions then
